The French Riviera is not among the world’s cheapest destinations. The French Riviera has been the haunt of the world’s jet-set and the slightly more well-to-do for way more than 100 years. The beautiful surroundings, the turquoise sea, the broad range of cultures, not to mention the wonderful food, has always attracted people to this part of the world. This has created relatively high pricing. Buying food and going to restaurants costs around the same as in the UK, while the hotel prices have risen markedly in recent years.
Value for money or expensive is the question you must ask yourself when looking at our offer. At first glance, our pricelist may deter you but, compared to living in an equivalent hotel in the area, Villa Sauternes suddenly seems like great value for money.
A normal double room at a 4-star hotel in Nice costs 300-400 Euros per night, excl. breakfast. Calculated on the basis of 350 Euros per night, a double room therefore costs around 2 500 Euros for one week, and if there are two adults and two children, there will be two double rooms with a connecting door or similar. For a family, the cost then amounts to around 5 000 Euros for one week. There is then the cost of a rental car. If you calculate per guest per night, the cost of living at a hotel becomes around 180 Euros per person per night. If 10 people are staying at Villa Sauternes, it costs around 120 Euros per person per night during the high season and around 65 Euros during the low season.
Two families can live splendidly at Villa Sauternes, and there is also room for both the mother-in-law and the father-in-law or perhaps a babysitter. We also offer a private feeling that a hotel does not come anywhere near offering. If you view our offer on this basis, Villa Sauternes suddenly seems like a great value-for-money alternative…
